As some of you might know (I've been hinting about it for months) I'm going overseas for three months in exactly one week today! I am super excited, but also super bummed because I don't think I'll be able to do much blogging during that time :( Despite not being able to blog as much, Andie will of course be stepping up to the plate and doing as much as she can over the three months that I am away.
While it sucks that I won't be able to post as much as I usually do, I will be having the most amazing experience overseas with my closest gal pals. We are starting off in America where we will spend a few days in 'The City of Angels' or LA... We then fly up to San Francisco where we will spend about a week exploring one of the most beautiful and culturally confident cities in the world. I am super excited for its eclectic mix of architecture, food and culture. I have heard so many amazing things about San Fran and I am so thrilled to finally get the chance to be a tourist there!
The next stop is none other than Las Vegas, baby... While I had never previously considered Vegas as a place to put on my bucket list, I have to admit that I am more than overwhelmed with excitement about the five days I have in this crazy and whirlwind city. I'm sure there will be many outfits, headaches and stories to tell haha. From Las Vegas we then fly to the iconic New York City where we will spend Christmas... Let's hope it's a white one! We are staying at The Roosevelt, have booked some amazing restaurants, a basketball game and plan to emerse ourselves in anything New York.
From New York we head South to Mexico where we will spend our New Years in Playa del Carmen. From here it's a plain trip to Costa Rica, a trip along the coast of Peru, Machu Picchu, the Amazon Jungle, Buenos Aires in Argentina, the Iguazu Waterfalls, Rio Carnival and last but not least, Santiago Chile. What an adventure huh?
Any suggestions of places to go, things to see, stuff to do would be greatly valued! And of course, I will be sure to upload photos along the way, if possible, or when I get home.

Hi Ella,
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog regiously! You're trip sounds really exciting! I was in New York last year for Christmas, it's truly amazing at this time of year! Here are some of my recommendations:
Just taking a walk down fifth avenue at night and looking at all the Christmas window displays and all the lights on the upper east side, they put so much effort into it and not to mention money!
If you don't have plans on the public holidays, places like Maddam Taussaud's is open.
The best thing to do is just go walking, you find so many amazing things, downtown around Soho and Tribeca has soo many cute boutiques, book shops and cool cafe's/restaurants.
Hope you have a great trip :) xx
Thank you so much for your insights! It is just what I need. I am so so excited to just get there and experience all that there is to offer. I will be sure so visit fifth avenue at night time for the Christmas lights and displays.
ReplyDeleteCant wait xxx
