If fashion’s current fixation with 70’s inspired minimalism is anything to go by, it seems that investment dressing is back with a vengeance.

Topshop Unique @ London Fashion week
Bambi kicked off the Unique 70s Topshop Spring 2011 show at London fashion week at the Old European terminal at Waterloo station. The show was all about sex and rock 'n roll playing to the soundtrack of Stevie Nicks' 'edge of seventeen'. Topshop embraced the more psychedelic side. Unique stylist, Katie Grand shrugged “It was a bit Stevie Nicks… like, of course,” She was referring to both the show music and the fringed capes, bell-sleeved chiffon blousons and skinny bottoms, flowing kaftans, jumpsuits and printed batwing mini dresses. Grand also said “It was also a bit Joan Jett, and Jerry Hall in Roxy Music days.” Frizzy/big hair, mirrored aviators, fringed bags and go-go platforms were perfect for the London's 70s mood...
